Foster Types
We aim to start you with basic care of healthy and age-appropriate cats and kittens. As you advance your knowledge you might like to try taking care of cats or kittens in need of extra care.
In some cases we may have been informed they are healthy, but if you receive pound kittens, sometimes they are not as healthy as described. Your Foster Carer Coordinator will guide you.
The table below is a guide only, some kittens or cats need longer time in care and these assumptions are based on healthy and socialised cats and kittens.
Neo Natal
1-4 weeks
At least 14 weeks (or neo natal specialist and will hand over to a regular foster carer when weaned)
