Last updated 1 year ago

We're thrilled that our Home Vaccinators receive their training from one of our fantastic FFARQ 'volunteer staff.' Our trainer comes with an abundance of experience in delivering vaccinations to animals, typically in a veterinary setting. They truly embody the spirit of care and compassion for our furry friends! πŸΎπŸ’•

If you're a foster carer or one of our amazing 'volunteer staff' and wish to become a volunteer vaccinator, simply have a chat with either the cats or vet booking team. They'll guide you through the process and, if needed, let you know about any additional volunteers needed in your area. Once that's settled, we'll put you in touch with our wonderful trainer to arrange a suitable time for your training. We can't wait to welcome you aboard! 🌟

Once the training is complete, both you and the trainer will let the cats team leaders (cats@ffarq.com.au) know, so they can update your profile on Shelter Manager. This way, everyone will recognize you as an official home vaccinator – making a significant impact on our mission to care for these animals with utmost dedication! 🏠🌈

Vaccine Transport

Our vaccines are ordered in trays of 25 units from a trusted supplier. To preserve their potency, these live culture vaccines are delivered in a styrofoam eski alongside ice packs. On arrival, they must be promptly stored in the refrigerator under 4C, ensuring their effectiveness when needed. The vaccine shipment also includes syringes and needles, making it convenient for our dedicated home vaccinators to administer them with care. πŸ§ŠπŸ’‰

Important: If vaccines are transferred between home vaccinators or to the home of the foster carer and kittens, use the same styrofoam eski and ice packs as the original delivery. Safety is paramount, and we want every vaccine to reach its destination with the same level of care it had from the supplier. πŸššπŸ€—

With our unwavering commitment to providing excellent care for our furry friends, we handle these vaccines with the utmost care. It's all part of our mission to keep our cats happy and healthy! 🐱🌟
